I am born 1971, married since 2001 (Rita) and I have two children (Nathalie - 1997 and Leonie - 2002).

Since my childhood, from seven to 14 years old, I am intereted in amphibians and other animals living in creeks and ponds. At home I had some small aquariums and a terrarium build by my father. There lived under not really good conditions newt larvaes, tadpoles of Rana temporaria and Bufo bufo, Gasterosteus aculeatus and other fish and animals. After my confirmation protestantic youth work and music (saxophon und clarinette - Disco-Funkband "Fun Too Funk" (1994 - 2001 - R.I.P.), Jazzrock and more cover band "Downbeat" (since 1991), "Siemauer Musikanten" (siemauer-musikanten.de - Franconian brassfolkmusic - 1997-2004) and other groups) took all of my free time.

I've done a apprenticeship for a elctrican and hav done community service at a neurological clinic. Than I took my shool-leaving exams - graduate form highschool. After this I ahve studied electrotechnics for two years wothout a exam. I worked in IT an as a Elctronic spezialist for some years and since 2000 I am working as IT systems technican at a small IT service company.

In 1997 my former girlfriend bought some hamsters and I saw some liitle brownish frogs in the aquariums at the pet store. Some weeks later I had my first aquarium. The number of frogs and fishes increases quickly. I become a member of the DGHT and got the first contacts to Kriton Kunz. This was the initial setp for my African Dwarf Clawed Frog maniac!

For me Tongueless Frogs are a good combination of amphians and aquaristic. Since my childhood I never lost the interest in amphibians and with my African Dwarf Clawed Frogs I became the first time a real aquaria hobbyist.
After some time my ADCF maniac increase to a Central and Western Africa strange habit. My main interest is in the systematic of Hymenochirus and in reaxing in observing the aquariums.

In july 2000 with the great help of Emanuel Züger hymenochirus.de for a German language African Dwarf Clawed Frogs goes online. Since this time good and helpful information is more important for me as stuff like animated gifs. With the help of Emanuel Züger a first German language forum started on a free forum provider. Then the service costs after some months we installed the first Pipidae Forum on the own webserver. After a short period of time I got the idea to make a German language website about alle Tongueless Frogs an a English version, too. So one year after starting hymenochrius.de pipdae.de and pipdae.net goes online.
Pipidae.de grew very quickly and in 2003 nearly all of most important parts were be finished. Now the German language Pipidae Forum is the most important special forum about Tongueless Frogs in the German language World Wide Web. Pipidae.net is still under construction but the English language Pipidae board grew to the most important special forum about Tongueless Frogs in the English language internet, too. Only some Yahoo newsgroups have more messages per day.
In the end of 2004 pipidae.org started as a new multilangugae startpage for all my vivaristic websites.

Since 2000 I have a own family. So I have not a lot time for webmastering. But I hope to complete the most important parts for pipidae.net in 2005 or at least in 2006. I'm still playing some music and I'm dreaming of more time for studying the Hymenochirus literature.
