I kept these frogs from late 1997/early 1998 until early 2004. I got ten of them from a pet shop and didn't know anything about their origin. At first I believed that they were all the same but now I suspect that they consist of two different forms due to varying shapes of the head and body, leg lengths and colouring. However, this is only speculation on my part and I am not 100% certain. I bred them several times. The last adults died due to a faulty heater when the water temperature rose to about 33C for more than a week. The female became very bloated for several months and I did not think that she was ill. However, she became extremely swollen and eventually died.
